Jumps

Here is a list of jumps the girls need to be practicing everyday. They need to be sharp and precise! Their arms need to sharp, legs straight (except tuck), and toes pointed.

1. Spread Eagle- ( X jump) arms in a high V, knees forward.

2. Tuck Jump- Bring legs up to the chest, not kicking behind them (kicking their seat)

3. Herkie Jump- One leg straight, one leg bent.

4. Toe Touch- JUMP USED MOST! Legs in straddle position, toes pointed, knees facing up.

5. Pike Jump- both legs straight and together in front of body.

6. Front Hurdler- facing the side. One leg straight up in front of body. Other leg bent behind.

* Don't forget that most our jumps for competition are double and triple jumps. So keep working on your consecutive jumps :)
